🐰 REBECCA RABBIT RAINBOW TOY KNITTING PATTERN 🐰
This listing is for a pdf pattern for a stripy rainbow version of our bunny rabbit toy. She is straightforward to knit and makes a great gift for a little person at Easter or any other time of year. 
 
🌷 SIZE
This knitting pattern gives instructions for one size of toy rabbit. However, you can knit her in any yarn size you want, with corresponding needle size, giving a smaller or a larger bunny. As a rough guide, the main rabbit pictured in the pattern was knitted in a chunky/bullky yarn on 6mm (US size 10) needles.  She is about 30cm/12 inches high. If you were to use a 4-ply/sport yarn and 3mm (US size 2.5) needles, she would be about half size at 15cm/ 6 inches high.
 
🌷 MATERIALS
If knitting in DK/light worsted yarn, you will need approx 30g/60m/1.1oz of the main colour. For an aran/worsted weight you will need approx 75g/40m/2.7oz, and for a chunky/bulky yarn, approx 150g/300m/5.3oz.  These are amounts for the entire rabbit. Divide accordingly for the stripes. E.g. if you are knitting the stripy rabbit in 7 rainbow colours, divide the yarn amount by 7 and you will need that amount in each color, plus a little off white for the face.
 
This pattern has instructions to knit using straight needles (flat pieces), OR in the round using a circular needle.  If knitting in the round, you can avoid much of the sewing up! You will need to use the magic loop technique to knit the small pieces in the round, a tutorial for this is included. If you are not so comfortable with knitting in the round, or do not have a circular needle handy, then the pattern pieces can be easily knitted on straight needles, and sewn up later.
 
The pattern knits each body part separately, then these are stitched together to create a bunny rabbit of pleasing structure. Soft and slightly floppy in the limbs, yet firm enough to sit up unaided.
The tail is made with a pom pom and the face embroidered with yarn scraps.

It contains full instructions on how to create the toy bunny rabbit, and also descriptions of how to follow the directions and sections of techniques used with pictures and step by step instructions. Great for novice knitters, or if you just need a bit of extra help. But it still works for experienced knitters!
